Furniture workshop in Saralanj village, Shirak

Recently, AUA Turpanjian Rural Development Program supported another business in Saralanj, a village in the Shirak region. In May of 2017, after completing all program requirements and getting financial assistance, Mr. Stepan Mkhitaryan established a furniture production facility.

Mr. Mkhitaryan designs his own models and makes furniture for individual orders. The furniture workshop is fully equipped with high-quality equipment, which allows him to provide high quality products. Currently, in addition to individual orders, Mr. Mkhitaryan has orders from furniture stores in Artik and Gyumri.

Stepan Mkhitaryan:

“I am very grateful to the Turpanjian program for the opportunity it has given me. Both the business training courses and the subsequent cooperation gave me confidence in myself and my initiative. I’ve learnt very many new things, and also met knowledgeable and reliable people who helped me realize my vision that I’ve been working so hard on and to establish a successful business”.

AUA-TRDP is open to anyone residing in rural areas of  Shirak, Tavoush and Vayots Dzor regions of Armenia, Artsakh or Javakhk  who wants to open his/her business.
